Sunnies: 80's Purple
Flower Crown: DIY
Dress: Second Hand
Shoes: Nasty Gal Shoe Cult
I've been having a ton of fun shooting these looks. I've been letting my little sister get some practice in since she wants to get into photography. I love how she captures all the candid moments rather than any poses. We literally just talk and laugh and she snaps the right moment every time :)
So this "dress" was totally a blouse I thrifted some time ago at a Goodwill and I thought "hmm, this would make for a really cute dress... I'm short enough... I now dub thee a dress!" and the rest is pretty much magical. I really was inspired by the 1960s hippie vibes going on with the silhouette, material and print. Colorful, but muted by the black (totally my alley) and short enough to show off my legs!! (I love showing legs as much as boobs, work with me!)
Can I please tell you how comfortable these are? I know, I've said that with the past two as well, but come on, do these even look comfortable enough to walk in for extended periods of time? WELL THEY ARE! Of course the platform contributes to the 1960s vibes as well, but the style of the shoe completely modernizes this look! My only issue is when the ground is super uneven... things can get tricky.
I shall not remind you how perfect 80's Purple is for sunnies. They speak for themselves... but I do love how the warm honey color of the sunnies highlight the red and gold tones in the dress. Makes it more of an earthy vibe.
I know I have a gap in my crown... sue me! I hadn't noticed but it's fixed now! This crown was way easier to make... no glue, no sewing. Since these were just long stems with little, white flowers extending all the way down. I literally just placed it against white ribbon and looped some thread around it and tied it off. One piece in the middle and at each end. EASIEST CROWN EVER!
